Liberty

“The Title of Liberty ” -For our day-
“And he fastened on his head-plate, and his breastplate, and his shields, and girded on his armor about his loins; and he took the pole, which had on the end thereof his rent coat, (and he called it the Title of Liberty) and he bowed himself to the earth, and he prayed mightily unto his God for the blessings of liberty to rest upon his brethren, so long as there should a band of Christi ans remain to possess the land. And it came to pass that he rent his coat; and he took a piece thereof, and wrote upon it—In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children— and he fastened it upon the end of a pole."- Alma 46:12,13
“Prop 8 = Religious Freedom"
We attended a rally in Montclair on Friday, and although I invited a considerable number of members of my ward to attend and support this we got about 3 others besides myself and Ken. Sad. Luckily the members of Our Lady Of Lourdes church had about 50 or more there. Believe it or not for that part of Montclair-97% were honking and cheering us on, another 2% were indifferant, and only maybe 1% showed a negative reaction. GOOD NEWS!

moving on...

On the same day that Ken had to organize the Helping Hands event, we had our BIG move from our former business location to our new one! It was a busy day to say the least. But we got it done. Thanks to our staff who sacrificed their free time, and to our friends Dick and Kathy who came and put up frames on the shelves for us. (wished I'd taken more pictures) So now we own both our buildings for our offices, and are able to provide better facilities for our patients to get the same GREAT care from Dr.'s Bladh and Boyer!

Saturday morning we were able( under the leadership of dad) to meet with members from the CL 1st, 2nd and 3rd wards (about 75 people) to do service under the Mormon Helping Hands organization for our community. The volunteers painted the fence along the eastern end of the trail and were finished in record time. Ryan Westerlink, the coordinating city employee, commented that the project was well organized and the volunteers were prepared and extremely courteous. In the end the project saved many man-hours and the trail looks great.

Why Brian is KING...

Back in 2004 while Amy was pregnant with Heidi, Brian would write home from his mission that she should always refer to him when talking to the baby as "king". I couldn't quite recall what instance in his life would have led him to make such a request until...I was going through my bin of pictures and memorabilia and found what I think is the beginning of his "fits of grandeur"

Circa 1991

So this is where it all started!

He has grown up to be a fine young man with integrity, intelligence and character. And maybe in the coming eternity he WILL receive the "crown" of his righteousness and rule forever with his family in the great councils on high.

Happy Birthday KING BRIAN! Hail to the King!

A legend is sung, of when England was young, and knights were brave and bold. The good king had died, and no one could decide who was rightful heir to the throne. Below the hilt, in letters of gold: "Whoso pulleth out this sword from this stone and anvil is rightwise KING, born of England." Though many tried for the sword with all their strength, none could move the sword nor stir it...until the time of Brian.

A marvelous day at Disneyland with my two special granddaughter's, my beautiful daughter Amy, and my marvelous and generous husband...Isn't it nice how Disneyland decorated the park so wonderfully for my special day?!

I even got a pin announcing my birthday, and all the people in shops and on rides greeted me with, "Happy Birthday Princess"! Now that is special!
